The University for Parents is proud to announce that Fathers Incorporated is the recipient of our SUSAN L. TAYLOR DISTINGUISED COMMUNITY PARTNER AWARD.  This award is offered to celebrate the legacy of Susan L. Taylor, the CEO and founder of the National CARES Mentoring Movement, and her commitment to the village working together to coalesce our power and elevate the community.

This award honors Fathers Incorporated as the community partner that exemplifies the values and priorities embodied by our mission to offer a restorative program, curriculum, and services to parents and caretakers so that they are supported in attaining their personal, career, familial, and health and wellness goals, as determined by them.

The  SUSAN L. TAYLOR DISTINGUISED COMMUNITY PARTNER AWARD is intended to recognize Fathers Incorporated as an outstanding community partner that has significantly impacted the community by the implementation of a special  initiative designed to enhance the personal and educational development of fathers, to promote responsible fatherhood and family unity, and to advance the life skills of adult learners.

The Criteria for this award include:

  • Demonstration of dedication to working cooperatively with the University for Parents staff and parent learners
  • Demonstration of strength in communication, commitment and cultural competency in addressing the needs  of parent learners
  • Stimulation of creative ideas to resolve predominant social issues facing parent learners
  • Evidence of impact on parent learners in transforming their lives and promoting their success.

As a recipient of the SUSAN L. TAYLOR DISTINGUISHED COMMUNITY PARTNER AWARD,  Fathers Incorporated will be formally recognized by the presentation of a honorary trophy at the University for Parents Rites of Passage Ceremony to be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Providence Missionary Baptist Church located at 2295 Benjamin Mays Drive SW, Atlanta, Georgia.
